JULY 1, 2009-  Today West Valley City Councilman Mike Winder filed with the City Recorder to run for the office of Mayor.  Having announced his candidacy to replace retiring Mayor Dennis Nordfelt in April, the Winder for Mayor campaign became official today.  A fundraiser is also being planned to help kick off the next phase of the campaign:
